Hi hi, welcome one and all to today's show of Gossip Mona! [audience cheers and claps] Yes, thank you, thank you! All of you who are fellow shippers and want the scoop on all the deets should stay tuned, because today we have special guest Alice Walker-Bonnefoy! Let's welcome her and show our appreciation for her coming here to join us! [audience cheering]
Alrighty then, let's get started! First thing's first: are you in a relationship, yes or no? C'mon, no need to be shy~!
- I am, yes. I'm married to the incomparable Elaine Walker-Bonnefoy.
[if yes, continue on this path] Awwww, congrats! Now you have to tell us all the juicy details of how you hooked up with this special person. Let's start off with the standard, we have to remember our manners! Please give us their name and their occupation, as well as how long you've been together!
- Some of your audience may not know but she is a renowned fashion designer that I have had the fortune of knowing for many years now. Why, she even designed this dress I'm wearing tonight. [Stands from her seat to give a little spin for the audience, dipping in a cute little curtsey before she settles again.] She's a wizard of design. And we have been married now for -- oh, gosh -- three years? Time has really flown by for us.
Ohoho, I see~! What a lucky lady they are to have get their hands on you, of all people! [eyebrow waggles, and audience laughs] I can't wait to hear, but how did you two meet, hm? Make sure to leave nothing out, we want to hear it all.
- [Dreamy sigh.] I'd say it definitely started when I first met with Elaine to discuss options for new looks. I was really looking for a designer at the time that could help me embrace myself. The moment we saw each other in person, sparks definitely flew. Though it took me a little while to adjust to her.. er.. more outgoing personality. Our partnership really worked on a professional level and in time I think we both realized that we worked on all levels -- even with the bumps in the road. [Ducks her face down, cheeks reddened.] I wouldn't trade her for anything.
That was absolutely adorable. You can just smell the love in the air, can't you, folks? [audience cheers] A match made in heaven! So everyone has their likes of their romantic partner -- the things you can't help but notice that they do. What's three things about yours that you love and find endearingly cute?
- Oh Mona, please! [Reaches over to lightly pat the other woman on the knee.] You'll get me gushing over her and I shall not be able to stop. If I did have to narrow the things I love most about her into three things... hm. I love how easy it is for her to take things in stride. Her composure is unshakeable. And I love the fact that she seems to read my moods better than I do. She knows just what to say or do to cheer me. Elaine also has this tiny little noise she makes when she sneezes that melts my heart. Seriously, I can barely stand it.
Man, oh man, I really missed out on snagging this one... Watch out, I may try to steal her away from you! [audience laughs] Now, likewise -- three dislikes. Come on, don't clam up now -- it won't matter if she sees this or not; even if she does, honesty is considered an important factor in a relationship! Trust me, I'm the expert!! Alrighty, let's hear them!
- D-dislikes? [Glances off stage. Looks a little like a deer in the headlights from this question. Squirms in her chair.] W-well, um. I suppose it's the same as it is in any long-term relationship. One learns to take the bad with the good and not dwell on it. The only complaints I could possibly make in regards to her would be.. Sometimes she slips into French in the middle of a conversation, and I cannot keep up. It's especially bad when we're having a disagreement because then I have no means to defend myself if I'm at fault. And for a few months she grew to love this type of cheese -- I don't even remember the name of it -- that smelled entirely foul. She also tends to entirely too flirtatious for my liking when we're at parties together. That's just part of who she is, and can't be helped.
See, that wasn't so painful, now was it? This will help your relationship for the future, I guarantee it. Free relationship counseling with the Gossip Mona, right here for a limited time only! [audience laughs] Moving on: in a hypothetical situation, if you found she was cheating on you, what would you do? Remember, this is just a "if"! (Hopefully...)
- [Hesitates, fussing with a fold in her dress.] I wouldn't even care to entertain such an idea. If such a thing were to happen then I think I could turn nasty. Sometimes I come off as colder than I intend to when I'm cross. And I'm sure I'd say hurtful things. I trust her not to ever do such a thing.
Well well, now we know who's wrath we should avoid. [audience laughs] A good answer, Alice. Shifting away from a more... pessimistic situation, what's the ideal place for a date between you two lovebirds? Have you made it a reality yet? If not, are you planning on it anytime soon?
- Our first date was in Paris. It was fall, yet still mild enough in temperature that we went strolling together through the streets at night. We visited several outdoor bistros, had a little wine, a little food. I think it was the wine that really helped me summon enough courage to kiss her just beneath the Eiffel Tower. It was quite a spectacle for all the tourists that were gathered there. I remember that we had to run off giggling because they were getting into such a tizzy.
Oh wow, that sounds absolutely lovely. I'm sorry to say, but I'm jealous. You've got it good, I'm telling you. So after all of this delving into the essence of your relationship, we want a little sneak peek! Any plans for the future? Will your relationship evolve into something more anytime soon?
- Er, well... [Another glance off stage, along with a warm smile.] I think Elaine and I are both considering the possibility of adoption, or pursuing our options to have a child of our own. Hopefully in time, once our schedules become more stable, it's an idea that we will be able to look into more thoroughly.
Wouldn't that be just adorable? A little bundle of joy for you both. In the meantime, you're working regularly with children through your charity organization, aren't you?
- Yes! I'm actually very excited about it. At the end of this month I'll be going to Nigeria to take a tour of the organization's progress there in some of the remote villages. So far we have managed to establish sustainable drinking water for them there thanks to the evolving technologies of water purification. I intend to go there, spend some time with the villagers, and see where our efforts might be best spent to take the project to its next level.
Sounds like you're incredibly passionate about the subject. I think there will be a link posted for our audience at home to visit for more information about how they can help contribute to the cause. Though I have heard that humanitarian causes are not the only thing you are passionate about. You're also a huge fan of anime, aren't you?
- [Laughs.] Oh God. This is going to be broadcast everywhere, isn't it? My secret is out! Yes, I am a huuuuge fan of the genre. I always jokingly tell my wife that if there is a live action movie of Sailor Moon that gets made over here, I am going to knock out all possible competition just so I can play the role. The community of people who love anime and manga is enormous! It's like one huge, extended network of family that gets just as excited about something as you do. With the right support, it can really unite people together. I'm sure my Twitter account is going to explode after this broadcast but I'm glad to get that knowledge out there to my fans that didn't already know.
So tell us, Alice -- what's it like being married to the drop-dead gorgeous Mrs. Elaine Walker-Bonnefoy? She seems like a flawless lady and wow, I'd be nervous of accidentally messing up something around her! What's she like at home, in private? Let's hear it!
- Isn't she just? I'm ever so envious of her. How effortlessly beautiful she is. And you know, that doesn't change even in the privacy of our home. I like to tease her for being an early riser because it seems that I can never catch her without make-up on. [Pauses, head tilting in consideration.] In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if she snuck out of bed to keep her hair styled and lipstick immaculate. Or perhaps I am just the luckiest woman alive to be married to perfection.
Okay, unfortunately, it's about time to wrap things up. [audience boos] But don't worry, just tune in next time on Gossip Mona to hear all about the new stories! But for now, here's the last question: you're related to Mr. Bonnefoy due to being married to his sister, yes? What's it like having him as a brother-in-law? Do you get along? Is there any... tension, a family feud ever stir up? Or is he a nice guy? I'm eager to hear your thoughts on the subject!
- Oh goodness, I shouldn't dish. . . [Raises a hand over her mouth to mask a smile, flashing a coy glance to the eager audience.] Alright, alright! Mister Bonnefoy is, of course, an incredible charmer. His family seems blessed with beauty -- though naturally my dearest Elaine is unrivaled with her beauty in my eyes. [Leans in to Mona, cupping a hand near her mouth as she drops to a stage whisper.] As I understand it, he's got himself a current love interest as well. I have yet to meet him but I'm sure he's also equally charming. [Looks straight into camera, adjusting glasses.] And very nice to look at. [Cutesy smiiiile.]
Alright, that's the end of this episode of Gossip Mona. Thank you for joining us, Mrs. Walker-Bonnefoy, and we'll see you next time!
