Act 2
Personality
Harvey is a kind-hearted guy, always helping others out when in need. Although sometimes people take advantage of his kindness, but he doesn't mind it that much, coming to their aid nonetheless. It's a laid-back attitude which makes him pretty calm and relaxed in any situation. He's also quite the responsible; being a hardworking he never let things unfinished. His motivation allows him a renowned position as well as a strong personality. By the way, don't be fooled by his easy-going trait as Harvey doesn't stand presumptuous characters, unleashing his fury on them in a (unpredictable) bold way.Despite all, he's also a solitary sheep; his friends are few and he chooses them carefully, taking his time valuating if a person is suitable or not. His standards are strict and narrowed, so it's tough entering the list. This makes him a reserved person; surely talking doesn't bother him, but he's not inclined to give out personal information to strangers or acquaintances.
Under no circumstances, he would ever mistreat someone. If he doesn't like a person's behaviour or trait he'd simply ignore them. That may seem a bit rude, but he's the type to avoid fighting whatsoever. Harvey had quarrels with some individuals in the past, none of them ended in a good way though.
His peculiar eyebrows made him the constant laughingstock; people had called him names and made fun of him, but he wasn't in any way affected by their antics. He takes insults smoothly without getting upset, but he can't stand when those jokes escalate, kidding with those he cares about.
One of his favourite hobby was playing with his sister; she pretended to be a model, wearing clothes designed by him and sewed by their mother. Harvey has a soft spot for his sister, spoiling, praising, fawning over her like one would do with a kitten.
A relaxed expression graces his face in his every day life. It's not a forced, made-up mask, but his way to deal with hindrances. The calm stance affects his surroundings, creating a quiet, enjoyable atmosphere. He believes it's no use get riled up for trifles, instead breathing deeply, pass it by and go straight on.
As a New Zealander (from here the nickname Kiwi), Harvey has an innate passion for his motherland fauna and flora: actively participating in National Trust projects. He has a soft spot for fluffy animals. Another fancy of his are the well-known Kiwis, flightless bird endemic to New Zealand.
He enjoyed taking long walks, bringing his drawing book along as he sat on a clearing, sketching out the most enthralling objects or landscapes.
Regarding relationships and the kind, Harvey is a sweet guy, whoever he happens to deal with. Despite all, he tends to skip appointments or dates as he loses track of the time while working. Whenever he has the opportunity, Harvey takes long naps to prevent losing good sleeping hours; Sleep is dearly esteemed by him, no matter how much he works, he must always rest at least an hour or two per day. Furthermore, he has great regards for intimate, close friendships, having had a similar personal experience with a good friend of his.
Quirks
Brief attention span: while talking you may see him easily get distracted by whatever things happen to catch his interest.Protective brother side: being the big brother, he has been taking care of his three little siblings for years, growing a protective side which kicks in whenever he meets someone younger than him.
Musical vocation: he started practicing with a normal flute during his early years, then he got to own a real silver Boehm flute which he always takes with him. When stressed or lacking ideas, playing the flute can relieve him deeply. Back in New Zealand he used to play it while grazing sheep.
Creative mind: living constantly outdoors, in close contact with the unspoilt nature, improved Harvey's artistic skills as well as sharpen his creativity.
Be content with little: it doesn't show much truthfully, despite all Harvey is quite satisfied with his life. Of course he'd be delighted to reach the highest podium in society, but he enjoys living in his little, modest bubble of happiness.

Aspirations Professionist Costume Designer: it's his purpose since he was a kid. He's aiming to produce an entire cast costume designs. Harvey believes costumes are essential for actors as playing a character in its clothes shall motivate them to do their best. For Harvey, clothes are masks dressed by performers: the more a mask hides their true egos, the more enhancing their skills.Having a family: this is one of his ordinary aspirations. Of course he knows that it's almost unlikely to make a family working in this field, being a place of betrayal, systematic divorces and the like. Anyway he's willing to establish himself, no matter what. Endangered species protection: there are plenty of rare birds in New Zealand, in order to protect them it's necessary to act rapidly, preventing these species to extinguish definitively. One of them are the famous Kiwi birds which are threatened by possums' attacks. Those possums were introduced by European settlers, which had a huge impact on the island country pacific ecosystems. NZ has always been a place free of any predators and mammals, so the possums are enemies of its environment. Exhibition of his own Art Gallery: Harvey usually attends art galleries. He's charmed by the other artists' skills and abilities, giving him the boost to do his best. He'd like to attend his own art gallery, one day. | Insecurities Blundering: being a zealous persona, Harvey tries to minimize mistakes and errors. This doesn't avoid them whatsoever, though. He's afraid his diligence could eventually betray him.Stage Fright: when he worked in the theatre, he was constantly in the backstage or in the audience during the trials, so when he first step on the stage he felt the so-called performance anxiety. It frightened him to no end being in the limelight, even though he didn't play anything, he panicked as if he was the one to perform. That experience made him avoid the stage whatsoever. Nostalgia: fearing of a detachment from his motherland, seeing as he has been living away from it for years. He's afraid of forgetting his homeland treasures such as the vast green lands, the sparkling river near his house, those breathtaking meadows dotted by sheep, and that tingling sensation as he rode his regal bay mare. Bashfulness: Harvey is quite the prude one. He didn't have much intimate relationship, apart that time with a friend of his, so he doesn't really know hot to interact with his partner; being the clumsy companion of the situation, even blushing furiously for a simply touch. |
Epilogue
Background
Harvey is the eldest son of the Sheppard family. He was born in the countryside of Christchurch, in South Island, New Zealand. His parents own a little farmhouse there, breeding mainly sheep and cows. His two younger brothers, Johnny and Hubert, respectively 19 and 16 years old, help their parents running the farm, while Madelaine, the littlest sister with her 12 years old, is in charge of the house chores; she plays the role of the mama, scolding her brothers for their antics and untidiness. The Sheppard family has English roots; their ancestors left England and established in New Zealand centuries ago. Harvey is deeply close with his family former country, having lived in London for several years.
When he was a kid his father, Jonathan, used to bring him to unexpected journeys, exploring the most beautiful areas of the South Island. He developed a passion for this kind of attraction, visiting all kinds of National Parks, sometimes with his sister, sometimes alone. His brothers, instead, are more the settled down types. They prefer to spend time in the farm, taking care of the animals and the small cultivations. They got this trait from their mother, Christine, a beautiful woman who worked as a seamstress in a clothing store; she left her job as soon as she got engaged. When Harvey born, his mother was still attached to her former activity, thus teaching him everything about sewing, mending and adorning garments until the boy built up himself that passion, improving gradually, then leaving to London for studies and majoring in fashion design from the University of the Arts London.
After his graduation, he worked with minor characters as an assistant for a fashion designer, bonding with important big names of the fashion industry. He also happened to work with the novice model Miss Aoife O'Neill, immediately growing a fancy for her, liking at first sight her freckled, well-shaped body. He'd be honoured to work with her again some time in the future.
His staying in London gave him the opportunity to make new acquaintances in this field, leading him to get a job in the prestigious, magnificent Royal Opera House as one of the youngest costume designer. He even played the flute with the orchestra, showing for the first time his musical abilities.
He became quite the rumor around London's streets, earning even more success. His garments were thoroughly appreciated by the audience, praising his exquisite tastes for clothes. He could truly summon the best from performers simply dressing them up.
One day, after another triumphant performance he was offered an occasion to make the big time in the cinematographic field. In the beginning, Harvey was hesitant as the opera was a good hit itself, moreover he loved that job.
However, he also had great potentialities, even his coworkers did push him to accept saying he could finally show his dressing talent to the America. After much hesitation and second thoughts, he did give in.
He eventually moved to Hollywood where he currently dwells, working as costume designer for minor movies and playing as a musician in a little local band.
