Stocky, athletic
She has fairly muscular arms and a mesomorphic body type. Don’t be fooled by her short stature - she’s much stronger than she looks.
Eli is very ticklish, around her waist and stomach especially. Because of this, she doesn’t like being touched from behind without warning.
She can usually be seen donning flowers in her hair. They change from day to day, sometimes real and sometimes hairpins.

Act 2
Personality
+Amiable. If you’re a nice person, you can expect that kindness to be returned when talking with Eli. Sometimes she may be a little too outspoken or brash, but overall, she likes to leave a positive influence on the people she comes into contact with on a day-to-day basis. Definitely one for conversation, she greets most everyone she meets with a smile and small talk. -Short Fuse. On the other hand...if you’re rude, she has no qualms being rude back. Get on her bad side, and it won’t be hard to discover this trait. Eli tends to lose her temper very quickly. This transpired down to plain old violence in her childhood days, but she knows better now than to let everything come down to fistfights. Luckily, she’s used to stress and has effective methods of calming down. The best thing to do is leave her be until she comes back to her senses. If the aggressor continues to push, though, it won’t take much more instigation for her to start a fight.
+Firm. Anyone who has known Elizaveta for a while can tell you that she takes no shit. How else are you going to survive in Hollywood? Kind as Eli may be, she knows when someone is trying to take advantage and she will not let it slip by. She knows when to say “no” and to not let it waver.
(Those who disregard her firm disapproval had better prepare themselves for a lesson in respect.)
-Nosy. She’s got a bit of a bad habit when it comes to secrets. Listening to celebrities chat away behind the scenes can do that to a person. Eli flocks to gossip like a moth to light, finding amusement in the dirty little secrets spread around. Of course, she doesn’t perpetuate any detrimental or discriminatory information - rumors are only meant to be fun and a little embarrassing in her book, not life-threatening. She pries for personal information without thought sometimes, but if the individual is unwilling to share, she apologizes and backs off. It’s not something she’s very proud of to begin with.
+Protective. Mess with someone Eli loves, and there is going to be hell to pay. She is not, as some paint her to be, a needlessly violent person; she knows how to fight, and does so when it is necessary. When you hurt her or people around her, she will go straight into defense mode. The brunette's used to being hurt, and knows the feeling well. If she can help it, she won't tolerate those around her having to experience that kind of pain. She'll fight if she has to to keep innocent people safe.
-Stubborn. So much so that Eli refuses to refer to it as “stubbornness”. What’s the harm in sticking by your convictions? Despite what she may think, this can be a very harmful trait; especially when she sees conflict in terms of black and white. The attitude of “this is right, that is wrong, and that’s that” doesn’t leave much room for growth or understanding. Eli can have very skewed opinions on topics because of this.
+Gentle. This may surprise some, but Eli can be very tame when she wants to be. She’s the sort of person who pays close attention to what makes those around her happy or upset; if they’re good-natured, she always tries her best to avoid making their time around her negative. In the end, she’d like to say that she’s done more good than bad in her life.
-Competitive. Make no mistake - Eli worked hard to get where she is today. She couldn’t succeed in her career without pushing herself to be the best at it. When someone of meritable talent comes along, she can’t help but compare herself to them and feel as though she needs to be better. It’s very destructive, and something she wishes she didn’t feel so strongly.
Quirks
*Though Eli speaks English fluently, she has a tendency to curse in Hungarian. It’s a trait gained from her household - both her parents slipped into their native language at unpleasant or uncontrollable things. Through both inference and explanations from her older brothers, she’s gained a rather extensive vocabulary. *When in deep thought or in need of keeping her hands idle, Eli puts her hair up with a hair tie and then pulls it back down again. The motion is repeated for however long is needed to get the jitters out. She has a knack for playing with hair in general, whether it’s hers or someone else’s. If the person is alright with it, she’d love to braid their hair while talking with them.
*Eli sighs a lot without thinking. It's usually more from exhaustion or irritation than sadness, but it's a notable habit. Even at simple things like sitting down or hearing something disagreeable, she'll huff or let out a long, drawn-out groan. She thinks she picked it up from her father, who often came home from work tired after a long day and couldn't be bothered to do much more than sigh. She gets a bit embarrassed when it's pointed out to her.
*She cracks her knuckles when angry. It's subconscious, but serves as a sufficient warning to whoever's upsetting her - push it any further, and she's more than willing to use those fists.
Act 3
Likes +Ass-kicking/Weightlifting. As a Mikasa Fitness regular, keeping in shape is top priority to Eli. She takes pride in being able to defend herself. +Fashion. Both men’s and women’s. As an addendum, she’s a sucker for a well-tailored suit. +Romance. The really sappy paperback novel, Hallmark movie kind of stuff is her guilty pleasure. She likes reading in general, but put romance in it and you’ve got her sold. +Scary Stories. She’d like to think that she’s top-notch at telling them. It may be a little sadistic, but it’s fun to know that you’ve got an audience scared out of their wits. +Lullabies. Eli’s no singer, but these soft melodies keep her calm. When she becomes panicked or over-stressed, she can be found humming one quietly to herself - sometimes even without thinking. | Dislikes -Cockiness. Confidence is welcome, but she draws the line at this type of smug egotism. There’s a difference between liking yourself and thinking you’re better than everyone around you. -Elitists. Eli didn’t come from an especially rich family, so she's quick to defend herself when someone acts as though money is the most important aspect of a person's character. -Misogynists. This should be self-explanatory. She will not tolerate those who think of her as lesser just because of her sex. (If you’re any mix of the above three, you might want to steer clear before she inevitably loses her temper.) -Sloppy/Unhygienic People. She understands that appearance isn’t everyone’s top priority, but taking care of yourself is still important! Eli doesn’t understand how some can go without remembering to brush their teeth or picking up after themselves. -Being Called by Her Full Name. It makes Eli uncomfortable, especially on the days when he doesn’t feel like a woman. Stick to saying Eli - hell, Ellie even - and you’ll be fine. |
Aspirations ~Becoming an Actor. Though makeup is where Eli’s true talent lies, she can’t help but aspire to make it to the big screen. She’s worked as an extra on the sets before, but hopes to audition for a larger role one day soon.~Travel. It’s been a long-time dream of hers to visit her birth country, Hungary. Her parents moved to America when she was very little, and they moved back home when they were both able to retire. Eli doesn’t have quite enough money on hand to visit them, but she’s still saving so that she can make the best of a future trip. ~Raising a Dog. Not a huge ambition, but she would really like to have a pet of her own. Her parents never allowed their children anything more than a few goldfish while growing up, so Eli's always had the childhood dream of adopting one of man's best friends. If only her apartment building allowed pets... | Insecurities ~Being Misgendered. To put it plainly, some days she feels like a woman and some days he feels like a man. Some days the feeling is a mix of the two, some days it’s neither. When on the more masculine side, Eli prefers to be called by "he", and prefers "she" at any other time. Unfortunately, Eli's used to being discriminated against for this, and is almost violently defensive of herself when in comes into conversation. When a person mentions her gender, she automatically expects the worst. Either way, this is why she prefers being called Eli or Ellie, not Liz or Lizzie. (He once considered changing his name to Elliot, but eventually decided against it.)~Academics. While Eli’s great at sports, she’s always struggled when it comes to classes. She’s a hands-on learner, so you can imagine how well sitting around for hours at a time went for her. To be trapped in that kind of situation for twelve years did a number on her confidence. She doesn’t consider herself book smart and avoids intellectual conversations in fear of looking like an idiot. ~Lack of Wealth. Eli came from a lower-middle class family, and therefore doesn't live luxuriously. It isn't as though she and her brothers had to beg on the streets, but they're used to doing without. Working in Hollywood has been a sort of culture shock to the brunette; interacting with rich people every day is hard to get used to, especially when they mention their feats of wealth as though they're nothing. In her case, she still has college loans to pay off and lives in a dingy apartment. Half of her feels ashamed for this, and the other half is angry that she feels ashamed. It's conflicting, and she doesn't like talking about it. |
Epilogue
Background
Eli Hédérvary grew up with the firm resolve that he was a boy. At the start, he didn’t have much reason to think otherwise. He loved things that he’d been taught boys loved - exploring, playing sports, and holding his own in a fight. He was a headstrong young boy, challenging kids on the playground and often times coming home with bruises and a grin on his face. He had two older brothers, so his parents often referred to them all as “the boys”. Not being especially rich, his parents gave him hand-me-down’s from both his brothers, so he grew up wearing their things instead of the standard skirts and frills he saw in the clothes of girls. There wasn’t really room for doubt in Eli’s mind. That is, until he became a teenager.
Puberty came around and hit him square in the face. Eli was forced to deal with the fact that he was growing up in a girl’s body. It was an uneasy feeling, and the pressure to act feminine was irritating. But as he grew, he began to realize that acting “like a girl” wasn’t half bad. It bugged Eli that people expected him to be fragile and helpless, but disregarding that, Eli found that femininity suited him just as well. Little by little, Eli accepted being referred to as a girl. After all, a lot of perks came with it - the biggest one for her being the discovery of makeup.
Makeup quickly became a passion of Eli’s. There were so many varieties of it, and endless possible styles. She could go from eyeshadow and lipstick one day to fake bullet wounds and scars the next. Always having an interest in drama, she signed on board the makeup crew and quickly became the level-headed organizer during hell weeks.
Unfortunately, high school wasn’t the best time in her life. Eli’s headstrong nature hadn’t changed in the slightest, and when other students called her slurs and shoved her around, she shoved back. Most of the bullies were kids who’d known her since elementary - ones who were used to seeing Eli as a boy and felt somehow betrayed that she’d “really been a girl all along”. It pissed Eli off. Boy, girl - why did it matter? How was it anyone else’s business if some days he felt more like a boy, and some days she felt more like a girl? She was suspended more than once for fights, and punished at home even further for them. Eli learned very well how to cover up bruises with foundation; a thought that she looks back on ruefully.
If that wasn’t enough, the brunette had difficulty sitting still in classrooms for hours at a time. Her grades were going down, and so was her mental health. She was enrolled in counseling to get back on the right track. The stubborn kid had grown into a defensive teenager, but talking in sessions helped her figure out just what was going on inside of her. Eli came to the conclusion that constantly following other’s standards of right and wrong wasn’t going to get her anywhere. It was important that she decide for herself who she was and what she wanted to do. That was the only way she’d be able to survive.
Graduating high school by the skin of her teeth, Eli moved on to a liberal arts school where she worked heavily in the drama community. In her spare time, she uploaded makeup and thrift shop fashion tutorials to the internet under the pseudonym Lipstick Kick. They gained popularity at a shockingly fast rate, and it was always a source of joy to read others’ comments and watch her follower count steadily rise. It became a strong passion of hers, a comforting escape from the academic stress of college classes. She became a vlogger after that, videos of her daily life scattered in between do-it-yourself’s and quick tips.
It was a struggle both financially and mentally, but she finally achieved a degree in theater production. She moved on to work in off-broadway productions, her internet fame being a feat that set her apart from other candidates. The brunette took odd jobs here and there, but it was evident that makeup was her passion. Eli considered becoming a personal stylist, but realized that the hectic and high-paced atmosphere of the movie set fit her best. After making some connections and pulling some strings, Eli knew that she was ready to move on to the big screen.
The thought of moving to Hollywood was daunting, both on her conscience and her bank account. She had to find an apartment of questionable quality in east LA, but it was tolerable when she thought of why she was moving. Eli almost couldn’t believe it. She was working in Hollywood among long-time professionals and high class actors. Even now, at the age of 28, she knows that she still has a lot left to learn.
But Eli is more than willing to put everything she’s got into it.
