Sturdy; Athletic
Alfred has quite a muscular body, although many people mistake it for a bit of chub. He himself began to think of it as that and doesn't believe he's gaining muscles -- instead, he concentrates on his increasing weight and thinks of it as fat.
He has one stubborn cowlick that refuses to stay down, no matter how much hair product is used. It's become sort of a neon sign for fans to recognize him, and he has a hard time hiding if he needs to. He calls it Nantucket, an inside joke made with a friend a long time ago during a movie that was filmed in Massachusetts.
Possessing a brilliant 1000-watt smile, Alfred's grin is popular among his fans. This is one of his other identifying physical attributes, and he is rarely seen without it.

Act 2
Personality
Alfred F. Jones is a bundle of blithe laughter and bright grins, filled to the brim with enthusiasm and charisma. Cheerfulness is usual to see when around Alfred, and he likes to stay optimistic and live life to the fullest he can. He believes in equality across the board for everyone in every single way possible, and is an idealist with particularly strong hopes. Outgoing and social to the point where people consider an avid attention seeker, he's just a bit too obnoxious when he speaks. His voice tends to be a tad too loud and he prefers to keep it that way, rather than endure silence.Alfred is an over-excitable type of person, and as a result, often enough blurts out something without thinking. He's prone to taking action first and then considering. His words sometimes come off as insensitive and inconsiderate, and he gives the wrong impression by saying the first thing that comes to his mind. Because of this, people usually think he's full of himself and that he doesn't care about others, which isn't true at all. It's often presumed he's ignorant of others' feelings and yes, sometimes he has trouble reading others, but he typically gets the gist of people's general emotions. But if they're more difficult to read and are prone to hiding their emotions, he can be pretty clueless unless he's purposefully trying to understand. He doesn't mean to offend anybody, but it's a consequence of being so impulsive. He prefers to be around people who are able to tolerate his limitless enthusiasm. But then again, who would want to be around people who constantly are telling you "shut up"?
He also likes to be physically active, and therefore has a difficult time sitting still. He is usually preoccupying his hands by doing something, such as doodling on paper or some other activity that won't disturb the people around him. He doesn't like wasting time, and he considers time being wasted by doing nothing when something could be doing. But that being said, it doesn't mean Alfred doesn't procrastinate -- he simply fills up his time with other activities rather than academic work.
When it comes to sports, games, or mostly anything in general, Alfred is competitive to the extreme. He loves testing himself against others, and thinks it's fine to have friendly competition unless it becomes too serious or hurtful. As long as everyone is a good sport, it can be a great deal of fun, and he likes being able to interact with people in different ways and getting his energy out in a particularly good outlet. It kills two birds with one stone and it's friendly rivalries can be easily formed.
Over-excessive as well, he's called gluttonous for the sheer amount of food he inhales every meal, but he tries not to think about it. He's not afraid to indulge himself in the pleasures of life. It's a personal preference of his, but Alfred likes to know he'll have more than enough so he won't ever run out. He believes it's best to have more in the first place. The more, the better!
Alfred is a very friendly and charismatic person, and is the type of guy who greets every person he recognizes on the street. He believes in the saying "treat people how you would like to be treated", and personally enjoys it when people recognize him and are nice enough to return his greeting. He likes seeing when people are happy, and loves to make them laugh, so he tends to be a bit goofy. He's playful and prefers to joke around, and prefers a lightened atmosphere over a tense one. Since he's such a people person, he often requires being in the presence of said people. He gets his energy because of them, and he loves his friends -- they're probably the most important thing to him. He encourages people and is usually the optimist of the group since not many are, and acts as a light of hope, so they won't give up.
A natural born leader, Alfred possesses the traits of being capable to organize people and give them orders. He radiates a certain type of glow that attracts people towards him with his social traits and bright smiles, and people cannot help but be drawn towards it, like moths to a flame. However, this doesn't necessarily mean they'll be followed or he presents them in a polite manner or people agree with everything he says. He doesn't typically strategize and therefore does not have a lot of tact. He is messy with organization, but it tends to balance out fine in the end with his leadership skills.
Believing still in chivalry to some extent, he's polite to people and is the one holding the doors open for people. He'll take any chance he can to help people (regardless of their gender), since it makes him feel like a good person and a hero. Standing up for what he thinks is right, he has a tendency to butt into other people's business where he doesn't belong to prevent any lawbreaking before it even happens. He has very strong morals and believes in defenders of justice, and refuses to partake in wrongdoing. But he's also very loyal to his friends and family, so when it comes to a time where his morals and loyalty clash, it's difficult for him to make a choice.
The type of person who craves affection, Alfred greatly appreciates reassurance that he's not being annoying and he's wanted. There are times when his self-confidence breaks down and he desires to know he's not being only a bother to people -- but something more, something good. Both physical and emotional affection will suffice, but he prefers the former because it can be seen. He's a visual learner, and likes watching things be done, and images help. He also likes to hug people and holding hands was always the most romantic display of affection one could show in public without flaunting they were in a relationship with constant kisses.
Despite the need and want to be loved, Alfred doesn't like being caged and tied up in never-ending obligations. He yearns to fly freely in the open sky without any restrictions, and he's destined for freedom. If people try to stop him, he'll become antsy, tentative, and even distrusting -- his freedom and independence means everything in the world to him. He starts to get nervous at hints of being trapped, and his gut instincts tell him to flee before he can be caught. Commitment is a problem for him sometimes, and for him to truly step past that means he's serious. He's willing to take on burdens for the greater good, but if it threatens his personal freedom -- he's getting the hell out of there.
Quirks
@glasses;; Alfred is essentially blind without them. He has very bad vision, and his parents claim this was bound to happen ever since he was a young child due to his always "staring at screens".@accent;; when extremely upset, he'll slip into a Southern accent. It can take a while for him to calm down and for this to wear off. The more emotional he is, the more prominent the accent is.
@hero complex;; because of this complex, Alfred tends to inadvertently create situations where he can fix the problem and provide a solution. This means that he could possibly start gossiping about someone to another person and rile them up without truly understanding what he's doing -- so he can swoop in and save the day by ameliorating the miscommunication.
@music;; he has a variety of genres he likes to listen to. The genre of most of his songs tend to be pop and alternative. He is able to play the guitar, piano, and harmonica.
Act 3
Likes +Socializing;; Alfred is an extrovert who loves being around people. A party lover, he likes to go out and spend time with his friends and have a good time! He's a pretty energetic guy in general, but he his enthusiasm reaches extreme levels when with his peers. He likes checking up on people and seeing how they're doing.+Exercise;; Alfred has daily routines he always makes sure to do. The first thing he does in the morning is twenty-five sit-ups, and the same immediately before bed. He runs in the evenings for about an hour on Tuesdays and Thursdays (he has a special playlist to listen to and everything). He used to exercise more, but was advised it was unhealthy to overexert himself and to do it only a few times a week. Alfred somewhat grudgingly complied, and created his own schedule. He visits the local gym at least once a week. +Video games;; just because Alfred is active doesn't mean he doesn't play some good old-fashioned video games! Well, that's a little bit ironic considering they're anything but old-fashioned, but he enjoys them nonetheless. He has a few consoles and plays whenever he has some free time and nothing else to do, and often plays multiplayer games with friends. He dislikes playing alone or leaving anybody out -- that's not at all fair to them. He also enjoys technology in general. +Animals;; he likes being around animals of all kinds and thinks they're all really interesting. They're like people, but not -- obviously since they can't communicate the same way, but Alfred cares for them as he would for people all the same. Sometimes it's nice being able to talk to somebody and just know they're listening without judgement. +Horror;; mostly the movie genre. He likes the suspense and the build up to the climax... It's a lot of fun to watch! He hasn't exactly tried participating in a film of the sort, but he wants to one day. (But he sometimes has trouble falling asleep after.) +Food;; all of his energy comes from his food! He's not the most healthy eater unfortunately, and quite likes his junk food and hamburgers, but he figures his exercise helps burn all the calories and it balances out. He'll usually eat whatever's put in front of him during dinner, but breakfast, lunch, and snacks are times for him to personally choose what he'll have. +Archaeology;; Alfred has always found archaeology interesting. He's fond of history, and the idea of being able to learn about what people in the past did is fascinating to him. He's considering pursuing his interest of archaeology in college, but right now he considers it only a hobby and likes stopping by museums when he can. +Space;; the idea of whole entire universes existing, far larger than anyone person could imagine, has always intrigued Alfred. There's infinite space that cannot be comprehended out there to explore, and possibly extraterrestrial beings. It's really amazing to think about, and sometimes Alfred likes to just lay in bed and dream about space. He also enjoys stargazing, and tries to go at least once a week at the very minimum. +Competition;; there's nothing wrong with a little friendly banter every now and then! Alfred likes to compete with others to see who's the best, and appreciates it when people are good sports if they either lose or win. Since they live in a world where constant comparisons to each other are made, they might as well as make it fun and supportive. +Heroes;; as a child, he always loved watching cartoons and television shows where there was a brave hero of justice who swooped in, beat up the bad guy, and saved the world. His eyes shone when he saw anything related with heroes, and a romanticized view of them has formed in his mind. He dreamed of becoming a hero when he was younger, and he secretly still hopes it will happen one day. Lucky for him, in this profession, he has the chance to play the role of one! +Happy endings;; Alfred prefers movies and books to end on a good note. It certainly helps when there's a hero involved, but in general, he likes it when people are happy. He prefers to stay away from things related with depression and sadness since it can sometimes bring down his mood, and it's just better if all ended happily. It's no surprise his movies always typically end on a good note. | Dislikes -Politics;; they're of no interest to him, and honestly people talk care about it too much for his liking. It's boring, usually, and he needs something to keep his attention for long periods of time or he'll start to get antsy.-Pessimism;; he believes people should always look on the bright side of life. There's no reason to sit around being gloomy and waiting for death to happen, and he prefers to leap into action with no regrets. It's better to go down fighting than surrendering and giving in without doing anything, right? -Obligations;; Alfred dislikes being tied down. He needs to spread his wings and be able to free to do his own thing, and he needs people to understand that. -Marmite;; don't ask. He tried it once as a kid. It was absolutely disgusting. Never again. -Villains;; aka, the bad guys! Alfred has the mindset that, as a hero, they need to defeat the bad guys and keep the people protected. He frowns upon any injustice, and will not tolerate it. -The Cold;; he much prefers warmth. Spring and summer are his favorite seasons, but he doesn't like autumn or winter very much. Snow is fun to play in and all, but the sun is the best! -Losing;; Alfred isn't a sore loser, honestly! It's just a much nicer feeling to win -- besides, who doesn't like winning? -Death;; no one likes death, but Alfred especially dislikes loss of life. It causes too much unneeded sadness, and he doesn't want to deal with it -- so much to the lengths that he'll avoid it outright if it comes down to it. -Breaking the law ;; despite not always seeming like it, Alfred has pretty strong morals. Because of this, he's not as tolerant for breaking the rules and has a tendency to prefer the law -- although, of course, there are always exceptions to the rule. |
Aspirations !Act in one of Ivan Braginsky's movies;; he's a big fan of the man's work. He's watched every single movie he's written for, and one day dreams of being able to act in a movie -- of course of the horror genre -- by Ivan Braginsky.!Winning a Dixie;; no matter how hard he tries, Alfred can never seem to win one. It's his ultimate dream to be able to win the honor, and damn, he's going to do whatever it takes to get one. It's kind of become an on-running joke to the media and the Internet. !Have a family;; Alfred is pretty fond of kids. He knows for sure the love of his life is Vica, and if she's up to it, having a family would be the greatest dream come true to him. He's not quite sure what she thinks on the subject, but he's a bit fearful of her response. Regardless, he is happy now -- but having a kid or two in the future would be pretty cool. | Insecurities *Weight;; Alfred isn't a really self-conscious guy. He's always out there, having fun, and living in the moment. But he's had problems in the past with being concerned about his weight. He doesn't typically worry himself with what and how he eats seriously, but he fears becoming overweight. This originated from being teased and called chubby and fat as a young boy, and although the kids weren't being serious, Alfred took it to heart.*Ghosts;; He doesn't admit it easily, but he's genuinely scared of the supernatural -- especially ghosts. He finds them extremely creepy and unsettling, and the thought that someone long dead could be watching you... It's horrifying. He's also a bit paranoid and superstitious, but not overly so. He tends to shrug this one off and puts on a brave face, but one can easily see through the guise if they're looking. *Loneliness;; he relies heavily on social interaction and people to function. Alfred needs people, whether or not they need him, and he's scared he'll be left behind. It's one subconscious reason why he's so forward and loud with his thoughts and actions -- he's afraid of being ignored. The slightest miscommunication of your intentions may be mistaken for something else, and he'll jump to conclusions and panic he's being abandoned. |
Epilogue
Background
Born in the famous New York City to George and Liberty Jones, Alfred had a happy childhood. He was content with their apartment in the huge city, and he grew up among a diverse community -- playing heroes and villains as kids with the local children. They used to play a lot of acting games like this, and Alfred loved it so much that his parents took notice; it was then when they decided to have Alfred audition to be in a movie when the opportunity rolled around. He had a minor part as the protagonist's friend, and he enjoyed it the point where Alfred decided acting was his calling at the age of ten. His interest in drama club in elementary school became a hobby, and his debut movie was only his first of many. The next couple permitted him to slowly achieve more major parts as he refined his acting skills and his enthusiasm remained as bright as usual. Many were impressed and drawn to his boyish charm, and it eventually made him more and more popular as time went on.
During his first major role, Alfred met Arthur Kirkland -- a fellow child actor. The boy was British, and Alfred was attracted to his accent. Their personalities tended to clash at times, but they grew to be great friends on the set as they got to know each other due to their roles being so close in the movie. They kept in contact throughout the years, and remained extremely close -- they maintain a good platonic relationship to this day. It was difficult as a rather well-known actor as a child to make friends without people judging him for his success at such a young age, and Alfred found it a comfort to meet a fellow kid who was having the same trouble. He wasn't alone.
Ever since he was five, his father had been teaching him guitar, and his mother harmonica and piano. They were a musical family, and Alfred enjoyed it very much. They continued with the lessons throughout the years until Alfred had far surpassed his parents' musical talent. It was when he was sixteen that he decided to publish one of his original songs on the Internet; he had posted covers previously, and they had received some attention. His original song, known as "Freedom". became extremely popular -- to the point where professionals recognized his potential talent as a musical artist. He was contacted and was more than thrilled to sign a record deal, and that was the beginning of his musical career, along with acting.
He became known as a teenage star throughout the country, and three of his songs achieved the number one spot in America's Top 40 a few times. Life was going pretty well, and it was nice -- smooth sailing made things easy and enjoyable for Alfred.
But at age seventeen, Alfred developed an eating disorder -- anorexia. Being constantly surrounded by people who were thin and always hearing them called "ideal" left a scarring effect on his mind. He only continued to gain weight no matter what he did, and he developed a fear of gaining more weight to the point where he severely restricted his eating habits to an unhealthy extreme. People joking that he was a "pig" and would one day get diabetes from all of the junk food he ate only served to make the problem worse, and Alfred would fast without his family or friends knowing. He would often eat food with a smile, only to force himself to vomit it up later when not around anyone else. He became obsessed with losing weight and becoming thin.
It was soon discovered by a friend, and when his parents were informed, they were stricken with disbelief. Their son was always so cheerful and happy, although it had been noticeable that Alfred had been losing some weight. He had claimed it was a diet of sorts, but it became blatantly obvious it was an eating disorder when properly diagnosed. The media went crazy when they found out, and Alfred was prescribed medicine and assigned a therapist to help him understand that there was no one ideal body type.
It took a year for him to fully recover and for his body weight to return to a healthy amount. It was the toughest years of Alfred's life so far, and depression had set in during the span of the twelve months. Recovery was a slow but steady process, and by the time he was eighteen and a half, he had returned to his genuinely exuberant self. He received an overwhelming amount of support from family, friends, and fans, and Alfred is eternally grateful to them for helping him get through this dark period in his life.
College offered up the opportunity to give everything a new start; it was also where he met his eventual girlfriend -- and now fiancee -- Slavica Petrovic. She had initially only been a classmate, one burdened with the disability of being eternally seated in a wheelchair, and Alfred isn't quite sure when he fell in love with her. Maybe it was that one time she hit him after he had jokingly used a pick up line on her, or the first time she genuinely smiled at him; maybe even when she let him run around pushing her like a madman throughout campus one summer day -- regardless, he was completely and hopelessly in love.
She had an interest in joining the world of Hollywood; Alfred leaped at the opportunity to introduce her to some of the connections he had. It had taken some pushing and persuasion, but it was finally agreed she would be given a chance to audition. Everything went smoothly, and Alfred was thrilled. They bought a house in Los Angeles after graduating.
The day he proposed was one he would never forget -- he had been invited on a radio talk show, and it was then Alfred knew it would be the perfect time. It was semi-public -- well, not exactly, but you get the point -- and he wanted to share the moment with the world. He had told Vica to be listening at the time he was on air, and he popped the question. He knew he had a stupid grin on his face throughout the entire ordeal, just imagining the woman's expression -- it was awesome, and he had practically raced home. It probably wasn't the best choice on his part, and when he got back to the house, Vica was fuming. She refused his proposal for the moment, telling him it was punishment for doing it like he had -- and that he had to deal with the media.
Of course, Alfred had been disappointed, but he knew it was Vica just being Vica. It was her way of dealing with him for suddenly putting the spotlight on her, and he had sulked for a week or two before finally just doing it the standard, traditional way. This time, he received a yes, and Alfred was delighted.
Currently, Alfred continues his acting career -- occasionally writing songs in his free time -- with Vica. They are living together happily in Los Angeles. He has just begun his career as a director, and has plans in the future to continue it.
