The set is quite posh. In the centre of the room, there is a lacquered table and two expensive-looking, comfortable armchairs in a nice shade of lavender. Upon the table lies a tea set, and underneath the table is an expensive-looking Persian rug. Behind the little set up is a fire place. Above the fire place, in fancy letters, you can see the following...
You really have the impression that this is a prestigious show. How the heck did you get on this show anyways?! Because damn does your agent have connections... You're sitting in your chair, all comfortable, in formal clothes, and you're wondering when your host will arrive. And then, you here some music...
The upbeat intro of "Get Lucky" plays as a little lady badassly... waddles in and takes a seat. She is clad in a blazer and a little black pencil skirt, reminding you of a certain chancellor. She doesn't look too old, but she gives you the impression of an old soul. "Welcome to "The Asu Show"! Tune in for your daily dose of typos! Your interview may be a bit butchered, but man it'll be the wurst!" She sits down... and appears a little small for the chair. It looks like her feet don't touch the ground.
"Why hello there, Miss O'Neill. I'd like to welcome you to my show. It's very nice to MEAT you today. Why don't you tell us a little bit about yourself?"
How will you introduce yourself, then? You like long walks on the beach, don't you?
She raises an eyebrow slightly at the earlier food-related puns, a tiny smirk pulling at her lips before she gives her hostess a small nod and the smirk melts away into a warm and friendly smile. "Well, first of all, thank you for having me on the show today." Now she turns her head slightly to face the audience, that smile remaining fixed in place. "My name is Aoife O'Neill; I'm a singer and actress originally from Ireland. I think you probably already know my brother as well - I saw he was interviewed on this very same show recently!" A small laugh follows up that statement.
"It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Miss O'Neill. I relish the fact that you've mustard the courage to ketchup to us about yourself. You are a fascinating new face. Don't think of it as too direct, but in this business, you'll probably be asked this often enough anyways, especially with how attractive you are. Tell me, darling... are you a duck in bed?"
Dang, the nerve of that lady, to ask something so direct right off the bat! Are you ready to televise your sex life just yet? Are you going to salvage your reputation? Be careful, this show has been known to make or break sex icons!
"A duck? I have no idea what that means..." Her head tilts to one side as a confused expression appears on her face. "Besides, isn't it a little rude to ask about something so personal as someone's skills in the bedroom?" She chuckles slightly and shakes her head, allowing a teasing smirk to once more take over her face. "Unless of course you're asking me if I'm an animal in bed. If so, I only have one thing to say to that. Redheads have a reputation of being...feisty." Her eyebrows raise suggestively, and the audience laughs along with her.
"Now personally, I can't say I'm the best in bed, but I wish you the best luck there. I'm certain you'll bloom into a beautiful peacock one day! I see you're from Ireland. I can hear it in your marvellous voice. Tell me how you're taking in the lovely Hollywood Hills. Shocking much?"
How's Hollywood, then? That accent's getting you brownie points.
Coiling a curl around her finger, she nods as she listens to the host, before answering with, "The Hollywood Hills certainly are a beautiful sight. I must admit, none of this part of the world is as green as where I'm from, but I still love it here. The lifestyle is one which is full of excitement everyday, and I wouldn't miss that for the world!"
"Fascinating. How fascinating. Positively shocking, isn't it? Quite different way to look at things, I suppose. You ever go travelling? You ever get homesick? What's one thing you miss from home?"
Miss anything from home? Great time to play up some sympathy by talking now.
"Ahh..." She sighs slightly, as though reminiscing. "I must admit, I think what I miss the most is my ma. You know, she was always there to pick me back up whenever things were a bit rough for me." Another sigh, before she quickly laughs off that slightly serious moment and smiles again. "The other thing I probably miss the most is good ol' Irish cuisine. I admit, I'm a big fan of anything big and hearty. Burgers aren't quite the same, though."
"I see, I see... Well, darling, I did some research on you. I basically stalked your Facebook and phoned the NSA!" You better fear if she really does have NSA connections, goodness. "Chef, come in!" A chef comes in with Chocolate Orange Guinness Cake... Wow! You haven't seen this in a while, now have you?! "Why don't you have some sweetness?" The chef puts down the two plates upon the table. You go and take your dessert, and your host does the same. Using a tiny, silver fork, your host takes a bite out of the heavenly ambrosia. "Mmm mmm... MMM. You have good taste! Did your grandma ever make something like this? This is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Say, do you have any siblings or cousins in Hollywood that we should be aware of? Perhaps if you aren't available, our viewers would still like a piece, hmmm?"
If you have any apprehensions with family... well good luck. No use lying here. This lady probably already fact checked you.
She takes a bite out of her own slice of cake, letting out a small "mmm" of enjoyment. "God, that stuff tastes amazing. My grandma used to make this for me all the time when I was a kid - it was my favourite!" She glances back up at her host when the question on her family arises, and she puts down the cake on the table. "Well, you've already met my twin brother, Donald O'Neill-Kirkland. I also have three other half-siblings, including Arthur Kirkland. You might have heard of him."
"Well won't we be quite interested! What're their numbers?"
Oh boy.
A nervous laugh. "I'm not sure I should be giving out that sort of information..."
"Speaking of which, are you taken? I'm sure our audience is very interested! Any special man/lady in your life at the moment?"
Answering honestly might be the best way to go here... or not. Take it how you will.
"No, not at the moment." She shrugs. "To be honest, I'm not really that interested recently, and have been focusing a lot more on my singing career than getting into the dating world again."
"You're single and ready to mingle, eh? That's nice to know."
"Well, I certainly wouldn't mind mingling with some of the attractive looking men I've seen in the audience today!" She winks at the audience.
Look at you, earning some giggles from the audience. You charmer.
"But anyways, enough about your life in the bedroom (or lack of it), we're just curious to know... what are your goals here in Hollywood? Any image or angle you going after in terms of roles/in general?"
This is your moment. Maybe you can get some people interested in you if you give yourself a certain image.
"Well, as I already said, I have been focusing more on my singing career recently. However, I would love to get back into acting at some point. Maybe act in a good, gritty drama or action movie. I would prefer to do some more "serious" stuff rather than comedy. Did all that when I was a girl."
"It's quite obvious that you are a very established actor. In fact, some of our audience remember you from your hit show in Britain, 'Lucky You'. I even know some friends who were obsessed with 'Donald Finn and Aoife'. It seems that you aren't really working with your brother nowadays, but you are making a very successful solo career. Would you ever work with your twin again? I'm certain some of our audience is are very interested in a collaboration between the two of you again."
Admittedly a risky question to answer, put aside some of your personal feelings, or go ahead and say it straight out how you feel. Be careful of the effects later, though!
Another nervous laugh. "Would I ever work with him again? To be honest, I have no idea. We haven't spoken in a very long time. Sure, it might be nice to work together again, but I doubt it will happen any time soon. Sorry if that disappoints anyone." She shrugs, sending an apologetic glance to the audience and cameras.
"A somewhat off-topic question now: Where is the perfect place for two lovebirds to have a honeymoon? Would you consider the Macgillycuddy's Reeks ideal?"
Not that you've been on a honeymoon before, have you?
"Well I've never been on honeymoon, so I couldn't really say. Though, because I'm biased, I would recommend anywhere in Ireland. It really is a beautiful country... if the weather is good, that is." She giggles slightly. "Just make sure to pack umbrellas and Wellington Boots if you ever plan on going to the Emerald Isle."
"It looks like we'll have to wrap up in a bit, unfortunately. When you walk out of this studio, what is the first thing you'll do?"
What are you going to do when you walk out? Get a cup of Joe? Run over to another studio for more work? It's all up to you.
A pensive look takes a hold of her face, and she shrugs. "I'll probably have to meet with my producer soon. It's a bit busy at the moment; we working on my next album. If I don't have to see him, though, I'll probably just take my dog Oscar out for a walk around the park. It seems like a nice day today, so might as well enjoy it!"
"Good luck with that! Don't do anything too illegal! It was a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Miss O'Neill. That's all for The Asu Show! We hope you've enjoyed being on the show, and do give us a shout-out to us when you can. Until next time, ciao~"
